Loreal Hi Color

loreal hi color magenta and red

I Have been dying my hair red since I had my son Maxwell he’s now 17 months old, I started off with a nice subtle red and had it done at the hairdressers, but if you have ever dyed your hair red before you know how much up keep it takes to have that lush vibrant red colour. I tried every shampoo and conditioner claiming to keep you hair a vibrant red the main one being John Frieda what a load of rubbish that was, I have never seen my hair go brown so quickly!!

I started dying my own hair at home when I just couldn’t afford going to a hairdressers every month. I tired colour freedom semi permanent hair dye which just stained my hands more than my hair … Yes I wore gloves. I finally gave in and ordered Loreal hi color in red and that was a stunning colour it claimed to lighten your hair when dying it red I wasn’t that convinced so I again ordered from America and got the Loreal hi color highlights in Magenta because I wanted more of a pink tone when it started to fade rather than orange.
I spent around £20 each time I ordered the Loreal hi color range. I got three bottles with both orders on Amazon and I bought a bottle of Loreal developer at a whopping 40% I know that’s a lot.
So it didn’t cost much in terms of buying the hair dye and time wise it was super quick to apply because it had a lovely consistency to it not too thick but not runny more like a cream.

If I’m honest I loved the product it just wasn’t what I was looking for in my head Magenta was going to be a red colour with a pink undertone but instead I had really pink roots and really dark ends that didn’t even resemble red. So that’s where my journey ends with the red hair I had enough and decided it was time to get rid.

So if you want red hair and you have dark brown hair then order the Loreal hi color highlights but order it in red not Magenta. It is great value for money and was by far the best red hair dye I have ever tried. The only major downfall was the time it took to arrive in the UK it took around three weeks.

Have you ever tried dying your hair red before?
